Josephine E. ''Jo'' Force, 85, died at Harborside Healthcare Center, Troy, Ohio on Sunday, October 5, 2003. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel N. and Vicky Force of Manhattan, Kansas; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Dale Smallwood of Dayton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jeremy Force, Jason Force, Danielle Borth, Joel Force, Natalie Smallwood and Charlotte Wolf and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles E. and Lela Deborah Motter Green; her husband, Edwin Force in 1991; a brother, Charles Green, Jr and one sister, Catherine Looney. Mrs. Force was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy, Ohio and was a member of Class 13 at the church. She also was a member of the Troy and Englewood Senior Citizens. Mrs. Force retired in 1978 from Troy Sunshade Company. Visitation will be from 10-11AM on Thursday, October 9, 2003 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. A service will be held at 11:00AM with Revs. Al and Carol Bastin officiating. Interment will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio. Memorial contributions amy be made to First United Church of Christ, Troy, Ohio.
