Facts about Funerals and COVID-19

Covid-19 Update

As of 5/27/2020 - Throughout the entire pandemic quarantine, funerals have been exempt from state mandates regarding gathering limits. However, at the beginning, most people were concerned about possible exposures and we encouraged private gatherings for our client families. As Ohio officials begin to open access to many types of gatherings, funerals are following that trend.

As of June 1st, we at Baird Funeral Home are choosing to allow our facility to be open for funeral gatherings as the family so desires. If you choose to attend a funeral or other type of gathering, please know that you are doing so at your own risk. Our facilities are set up to accommodate socially distanced seating as best as possible. If you do not feel comfortable being around people, please do not attend. If you want to wear a mask, we encourage you to do so. You are free to choose the manner in which you reach out to the grieving families that we serve.

AS ALWAYS, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND A FUNERAL OR VISITATION IF YOU ARE SICK, HAVE A FEVER, COUGH OR HAVE BEEN SICK. OUR PRIORITY IS FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL IN ATTENDANCE AS THE BEREAVED FAMILIES GO THROUGH THEIR TIME OF LOSS.

Welcome to our Website.

The Baird Funeral Home has been serving families since 1923. The forefathers of the firm, Joseph Irvin and Norman Deeter originally served the Community on Cherry Street in Troy. Robert Baird having been with the firm for over 60 years now serves along side the new generation of directors, Tami Baird, Craig Wise and Allan Ganley as well as a strong support staff. The Baird staff is proud to be a long-time member and supporter of the Troy area community. Our heritage of personalization and caring extends from preneed, at-need and aftercare services. The firm also is the home of Troy's only display of full service monuments.

What our families are saying...

Alan & Tammy there are no words to comfort the loss of a child to a mother! Somehow the both of you managed to show comfort with your actions more then words can say. The funeral process for my daughter was by far the hardest barrier I have ever had to do, but with your assistance it was graceful with the time you let me share during the events. Thank you for going out of your way to aide in the process of placing her to rest. You put passion and comfort to your touch in the moments when words have no meaning! Thank you for everything!
