Fred G. Beck Jr., 82, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at the Harborside Healthcare Center, Troy, Ohio. He was born on September 7, 1922 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Fred G. and Vera Way Beck, Sr. His is preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores Cook Beck who passed in 1987. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Butts Anthony Beck and six children, daughters & spouses; Joyce & Ed Gosnell of Union, OH; Sharon & David McDowell of Huber Heights, OH; Carolyn & Tom Hauenschild of Cabot, PA; son & spouse; Fred D. and Sharon Beck of Brookville, OH; stepsons & spouses; Stephen & Amy Anthony of Toledo, OH and Ronald & Debbie Anthony of Piqua, OH. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also preceding his in death are a brother, Philip Beck. Mr. Beck was a member of Northmont Community Church, Clayton, OH; served in WWII with the Army Aircorps, 8th Airforce as a B-17 pilot; Bricklayers Union Local 22. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1940. He was a retired Brick Mason with F.E. Longstreth, Dayton, Ohio. Friends may call at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 from 5-8PM. Services will be held at the Northmont Community Church, Clayton, Ohio at 1:30PM with the Rev. Stephen Anthony. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Vandalia, Ohio. There will be VFW Memorial Honor Guard service at the cemetery.
