Catherine Eva Arnold, age 94, died Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Harborside Healthcare Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born February 10, 1912 at home in Casstown, Ohio to Lucy Burton and Ralph E. Woodrow. She was married to Norman C. Arnold on June 21, 1934 in Pitsburg, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Scranton. She is survived by a son, Philip Woodrow Christine Arnold of Gainesville, Florida, a daughter, Suzanne Bruce Scranton of Troy, Ohio, grandchildren, Steven Arnold, Shelly Mark Van Leer and John Arnold all of Gainesville, Florida, Heather Ty Frantz of Perrysburg, Ohio and Holly Marc Sulzycki of Bridgeport, Connecticut, great-grandchildren, Anna and Madelyn Frantz, Grace and Jack Arnold and Joseph Arnold, sister-in-law, Ruby Stamback and brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Lorena Arnold, a niece and nephews. Mrs. Arnold was the granddaughter of Joseph Burton, founder of Burton Nursery. She was a 76 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy, Ohio. She was a 1930 graduate of Franklin-Monroe High School, Pitsburg, Ohio. For the past five years she has resided at Alterra Sterling House Assisted Living of Troy. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Friday, December 8, 2006 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Carol Bastin officiating. Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio.
