Thomas Lee Vanchure

THOMAS LEE VANCHURE, age 71, of Troy, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on October 23, 1947 in Wheeling, WV to the late Charles and Bertha (Vickers) Vanchure.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 54 years: Sharon Kay (Yount) Vanchure; children: Penny Vanchure of Troy, Thomas (Angie) Vanchure of Fletcher, Tony (Lisa) Vanchure of Troy, and Tammy (James) Bloomfield of Piqua; grandchildren: Amber (Chris) Ault, Megan (Nick) Vanchure, Ashley (Chris) Vanchure, Kelsey (Zack) Martinez, Dakota Vanchure, Chris Vanchure, and Kayleigh Bloomfield; great grandchildren: Blake Ault, Raelynn Robinson, and Colin Ault; siblings: Charles (Dixie) Vanchure of Troy, Pam (Larry) Partin of Troy, and Brenda (Dave) Vanchure of Troy; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews that he loved dearly. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by one sister: Sandra Marie and granddaughter: Brooke Kaylyn Vanchure.

Thomas served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He also worked for Troy Gravel and Dinner Bell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 3, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Dale Christian officiating.  Burial will follow with military honors by the Miami County Veteran Memorial Honor Guard in Riverside Cemetery.  Friends may call from 12-2 PM on January 3 at the funeral home.
