Steve Campbell

Steve Campbell, age 72, of Troy passed away peacefully on December 22, 2018.  Steve was born on July 8, 1946 in Clinton, IL to the late Howard and Millie (Martin) Campbell.
Steve is survived by his wife of 17 1/2 years:  Julie A. (Leapley) Campbell; two children:  Mike (Tracy) Campbell of Pinson, AL., and Julie (Steve) Miller of Galveston, IN; brother: Stanley Campbell of Colorado Springs, CO; and five grandchildren: Mitch and Nicholas Campbell, Brooklyn, Sara and Gracie Miller.

Steve was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy, and Roamin' Trojan Camping Club.  He was also an Eagle Scout.  Steve worked as a cost accountant for Revere Copper and Brass in IL; Tyson Foods, AL and then Crane Pumps & Systems, IL and OH.  He was an avid collector of Coca Cola memorabilia, especially miniature vehicles.  Steve also enjoyed camping, telling stories to make people laugh, flea markets, auctions and negotiating a deal.  He greatly enjoyed animals including his two dogs: Ellie and Chase.  He will be missed for his big heart, sense of humor and positive outlook.

A memorial service for Steve will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday December 28, 2018 at First United Church of Christ with Rev. Lauren Allen officiating.  The family will receive guests after the service.
