Rose Ann "Rosie" English

Rose Ann “Rosie” English, age 84, of Troy, passed away on June 22, 2022, at her residence surrounded by loved ones.  She was born on June 29, 1937 in Sidney to the late James D. and Helen M. (Thomas) Sailor.  On September 1, 1956 in Maplewood, OH, she married John William English and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2019.

Rosie is survived by her daughter: Karen Sue English-Shurte of Bradford, OH; sons: Mark Alan (Kathy) English of Phoenix, AZ and Bruce David English of Seattle, WA; sister: Carol Sue (Ted) Eshleman of Union, OH; many grandchildren; great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.    

Rosie was a 1955 graduate of Piqua High School.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tipp City, OH.  She was a longtime member and Past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star, Tippecanoe Chapter #307 in Tipp City, OH.  She enjoyed providing childcare and selling Avon.  She was also formerly employed by Meijer.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, June 27, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Tipp City, OH, with Pastor Reggie Osborne officiating. Interment will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH.  The family will receive friends from 5:00PM-7:00PM on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH concluding with an Order of Eastern Star service at 7:00PM.
