Robert C. Spiller

ROBERT C. SPILLER, age 76, of Tipp City, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Grandview Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on April 10, 1943 in Dayton to the late Robert B. and Alberta (Speyer) Spiller.

Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years: Shiela R. (Rhoden) Spiller; two children: Debra (Greg) Grawe and Robert E. (Diane) Spiller, both of Tipp City; one sister: Lois Spiller of Tipp City; four grandchildren: Jacquelyn (Justin) Ray, Victoria (Fiancé Cole Strickling) Grawe, Alexa Spiller and Olivia Spiller; and five great grandchildren: Kennedy, Preston, Lucas, Adryanna and Harrison.  In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one sister: Beverly Spiller.

Bob was a graduate of Chaminade High School.  He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipp City.  Bob was a Past Master of Franklin #14 F. & A. M., a Past District Deputy Grand Master of the Third Masonic District, a member of Franklin Chapter #24 R. A. M., Franklin #14 R. & S. M., Coleman Commandery #17 Knights Templar, and the Valley of Dayton Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite.  He retired from IVEX as a manager and superintendent.  Bob’s family was the most important thing in his life.  He also enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with his guard dog, Charlie.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, January 3, 2020 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipp City.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:30 PM on Thursday at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Masonic Services to follow.
