Rev. Robert R. Linkous

Rev. Robert R. Linkous, age 78, of Huber Heights, OH passed away on February 19, 2019 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH.  He was born on May 7, 1940 in Wheelersburg, OH to the late Robert Linkous and Bessie Frances (Price) Linkous McCaslin. 

Bob is survived by his wife: Lanae (Schneider); one daughter, Christine Ballengee-Morris of Pickerington, OH; sister: Claudia E. Marcum of Sardinia, Ohio; and grandchildren: Brandon Ballengee, Ryan Ballengee, Lt. Colonel Jason Meisel, Jack Ballengee Morris, Megan Bullard, Samantha Ballengee and Sydne Ballengee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Bobby Linkous and Greg Ballengee and brothers: Larry Keith Linkous and Danny Ray Linkous.

Bob served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Franklin Lodge #14 F&AM. He served as the Senior Pastor of Alcony Grace Church for many years and retired as Pastor Emeritus in 2003.  Bob was also retired from BF Goodrich Company in Troy, OH.

Bob will always be remembered as touching so many lives of family and friends with his love, humor and unfailing commitment to their well-being before his own.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Alcony Grace Church, 1045 South Alcony-Conover Road in Troy, OH with Pastor Stephen Marcum officiating.  Private burial will take place in the Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM on Saturday at the church.
