Odell Richardson

Odell Richardson, age 89, formerly of Troy, passed away on November 3, 2021 in Dublin, OH.  He was born on April 21, 1932 in Clymer, PA to the late Willis Lenwood and Helen Marie (Davis) Richardson.

Odell is survived by his children: Daniel L. (Gwen) Richardson of Lafayette, IN and Dorcas A. (Robert) Lewe of Dublin, OH; grandchildren: Jessica and Bobby Lewe; Jacob, Abigail, Jennifer, Caleb, Bethany, and Matthew Richardson; and sister: Melrose (Lee) Bussard of PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 64 years: Betty Lou (Smith) Richardson; and granddaughter: Hannah Lewe.

Odell was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Dublin and former member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Tipp City. He was a graduate of Miami University and served his country in the US Navy. 

Odell and his wife completed over 500 organized 10K walks throughout Ohio and neighboring states. This was a favorite pastime they enjoyed with friends for many years.

He was a manufacturing system manager with Siemens and a Comserv Senior Manufacturing specialist in marketing support until his retirement.  He was a member of APICS (Professionals CPIM certification); SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers); NDIA (National Defense Industrial Association), and AAII (American Association of Individual Investors).

A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM on November 24 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with Pastor John Morris officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from  1-2PM on November 24 at the funeral home.  Private interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH.
