Norma M (Moyer) Wise

Norma M. (Moyer) Wise, age 86, of Columbus; formerly of Troy, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at First Community Village in Columbus.  She was born on August 4, 1931 in Troy to the late William H. and Henrietta (Tecklenburg) Moyer.  Her husband of 62 years, Carl Wise, preceded her in death on August 5, 2014.

Norma is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law: Tom (Vickie, deceased) Wise of Columbus, OH, Dave and Michelle Wise of Greer, SC, Mike and Mary Jo Wise of Port St. Lucie, FL and Rick and Jan Wise of Gardner, KS; six grandchildren: Jay  (Kerrie) Wise, Andy (Ashley) Wise, Jeremy (Sarah) Wise, Kenny Wise, Allison (Andrew) McCleskey and Danny (Andrea) Wise; ten great grandchildren: Jack, Grant, Grady, Lliam, Ayleen, Aydia, Fisher,  Anson, Elloree  and Caroline; sister: Evelyn Madigan of Troy; brother: Raymond Moyer of Ft Wayne, IN.  In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by brothers: Richard, Howard and Robert Moyer and sister: Helen DeVilbiss.

Norma graduated from Troy High School in 1949.  She was a lifelong resident of Troy, having moved to Columbus five years ago.  Norma was also a longtime member and volunteer of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.  She served as cafeteria manager at St Patrick School for many years. Her true passion in life was her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Fri, Feb 23, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy with Rev. Fr. Jim Duell Celebrant.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.  Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 on Thurs, Feb 22, 2018 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
