Michael E. Manson Sr.

Michael E. Manson Sr., age 76, of West Milton, OH passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Hospice Inpatient Unit, Troy.  Mike was born on July 14, 1941 in Troy, OH to the late James L. and Mildred L. (Hayslett) Manson.

Mike is survived by his wife of 28 years: Sue (Moore) Manson; his children: Peggy (Doug) Ishmael of Troy and Michael (Tyra) Manson Jr. of AK; sister: Dixie Warner of Troy; brothers: Robert (Crissy) Manson of Troy; James (Carol Pietro) Manson of Tipp City; Steve Manson of Troy and Joe Manson of Piqua; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his daughter: Penny Manson Flory.

Mike served his country in the US Army.  He was a member of the Troy Moose Lodge.  He retired from BF Goodrich after 32 years of service.  Mike enjoyed camping and campfires. He had a big love of trains and as a Nascar fan of Jeff Gordon.

Services will be held at 7:00PM on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with Hospice Chaplain Mollie Magee officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 4:00PM – 7:00PM.  Private interment will take place at a later date in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.
