Janice I. (Widener) Frank

JANICE I. FRANK, age 79 of Troy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy.  She was born on August 7, 1939 in Troy to the late Lauren and Marjorie (Mott) Widener. 

Janice is survived by her husband of 57 years: Charles William “Bill” Frank; one son: Richard Scott (Jeanine) Frank of Covington; “adopted” daughters: Tina (Richard) Taylor of Jackson, TN and Sinda (Steve) Melugin of Humboldt, TN; one sister: Charlotte (Michael) Kemp of Osprey, FL; one brother: Dale Widener of Lima; one grandson: Rodney Frank of Troy; former daughter-in-law: Beverly (Anthony) Kelley of Troy; nieces: Amy Donaldson of WI and Kathy Franck of Centerville; nephews: Christopher Widener of Xenia and Brian Gheen of AK; beloved Westie: Duffy; and many friends and family.

Janice was a 1957 graduate of Northwestern High School.  She was a lifelong member of Cove Spring Church, long time member of card club and an avid bowler on the Tuesday Afternoon Women’s League at Troy Bowl.  She was the long-time secretary for the John and Eve Baker Family Reunion – 2019 will mark the 100th gathering.  Janice retired from State Farm Insurance agency in Troy after 46 years.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Cove Spring Church with Rev. Greg Morrow officiating.  Burial will follow in Donnelsville Cemetery in Clark County.  Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
