James Roger "Jim" Manson

JAMES ROGER “JIM” MANSON, age 72, of Tipp City, passed away on April 4, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on December 15, 1948 in Troy to the late James Leroy Franklin Manson and Mildred Louise (Hayslett) Manson.

Jim is survived by his girlfriend: Carol (Moore) Pietro of Tipp City; children: Emily (Mike) Bryant of Tipp City, Dixie (Jim) Walters of Troy and Jason (Abby) Manson of Troy; mother of his children: Sally Jo Manson of Troy; siblings: Dixie Warner of Troy, Robert (Chrissy) Manson of Troy, Steve Manson of Troy and Joe Manson of Troy; sister-in-law: Sue Manson of West Milton; grandchildren: Jake Miller, Chelsey Townsend, Danielle Walters, James Walters, Maddison Manson and Dakota James Manson; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son: James “Jimmy” Manson, Jr.; one brother: Mike Manson; one brother-in-law: Kenny Warner; and two sisters-in-law: Doris Manson and Linda Manson.

Jim was a 1968 graduate of Troy High School.  He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army.  Jim enjoyed fishing, cards, horse racing, NASCAR and was a huge Troy football fan.  He was employed by Creative Extruded Products in Tipp City for over 26 years.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home with Rev. John Shelton officiating.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH.  Friends may call from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM at the funeral home.
