William “Bill” C. Laskowski, age 84, of St. Paris, OH and formerly of Chicago, IL passed away on March 4, 2026, while in Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. He was born March 24, 1941, in Chicago, IL to the late Bernard and Laura (Stawarz) Laskowski.
Bill married Rebecca J. “Becky” (McPherson) Laskowski on November 4, 1977, and she preceded him in death on June 17, 2017. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Rachael (Laskowski) and Christopher Kemnic, Donna (Laskowski) and Tom Domoleczny, and Denise (Laskowski) and Stefan Huba; and five grandchildren: Jason, Jordan, Griffin, Kyle and Hayleigh; three great grandchildren: Ava, Aria and Archer; sisters: Geri (Don) Fudala and Pat (and the late Les) Mazikoske; sister-in-law: Jeanette Laskowski and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers: Bernard Laskowski Jr. and Richard “Ricky” Gburzinski.
Bill served his country in the US Army. He worked for more than 34 years for International Harvester – Navistar within the product reliability department. Upon retiring, he and Becky relocated to Central Ohio. Bill lived by the principles of Freemasonry for more than 45 years and was a longtime member of the Olivet Lodge # 226 F&AM, Christiansburg, OH. Throughout his lifetime, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on March 13, 2026, at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
