Shelby Jean Rowe

Shelby Jean Rowe, age 90, formerly of Troy, OH and more recently of Springfield, passed away on October 26, 2026 at the Clark Memorial Home. She was born on May 8, 1936 in Junior, WV to the late Willard and Dorothy (Montgomery) Pingley.

She is survived by her sons: Steve Rowe and Michael Rowe; grandchildren: Zane Rowe, Nathan Rowe, Zach Arthur, Tiffany Arthur, Tyler Rowe and Kyle Rowe and several great grandchildren; siblings: Brenda Koontz and Deandra Walker; and her family friend: Cheryl Copes; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years: Don L. Rowe and her son: Greg Rowe; sisters: Garnet Coontz and Gloria Shelton.

She was formerly employed with the Boy Scouts of America and served alongside her husband in the family business, Lost Creek Tool and Machine. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Ludlow Falls.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 30, 2026 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with interment to follow in Casstown Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday.
