Rodney David O'Toole

Rodney David O'Toole, 67, of Fairborn, Ohio, previously of Troy, OH, passed away on April 9, 2026 after a brief illness.

Born on April 7, 1959 in San Bernardino, CA to Harry and Loretta O'Toole. He graduated from Troy High School in 1977 and retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a Heavy Equipment Operator in 2021.

On February 22, 2022 at 2:22 PM, he married his beloved wife, Julie Peyton. He was a cherished husband, son, brother, step-father, and step-grandfather who loved nothing more than going to concerts, traveling, attending fairs, working in the yard, and helping others.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Julie; his mother, Loretta O'Toole, of Troy OH; sister, Marsha O'Toole, and brother Bryan (Laura) O'Toole, both of Troy OH; his step-children, Christopher (Libby) Thompson of Kettering OH and Nicholas Thompson of Lansing, MI; and step-grandchildren, Alivia, Eric, and Violet; and various nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry O'Toole; niece, Elisa Welbaum; and great nephew, Logan Voorhees.

Services will be held at 2PM, Friday, April 17, 2026 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy, OH. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. The family will receive friends from 12-2PM on Friday at the funeral home.
