Nicholas J. Fonner

December 4, 1973 – February 13, 2026

Nicholas J. Fonner, of Troy, went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2026. He was born on December 4, 1973, in Troy, Ohio, to Denise Stuchell. Nick was a devoted brother, father, and grandfather whose love ran deep and whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to everyone blessed enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister; and his Uncle Buddy Sharits, who welcomed him home.

Nick leaves behind a family who adored him beyond words including his daughters, Reagan (Tyler) Kennedy and Lauren Fonner; his cherished granddaughter, Autumn; and his brothers, Jasen Fonner, Ray (Amanda) Stuchell, and Nate (Brittani) Stuchell. He was also a proud and loving uncle to Paige, Sophia, Piper, Alec, Lily, and Danny, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Nick was a true fighter. No matter what life placed in front of him, he faced it with quiet strength and determination. He carried the gentlest, most kind, grateful, and humble soul, never forgetting to say thank you, even in his hardest days. His warmth made people feel seen, valued, and loved.

He found joy in the things he was passionate about. Nick was an avid collector of Dodge Challenger cars, proudly building a collection of more than 5,000 items which was a true reflection of his dedication and enthusiasm. He was also a loyal Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Volunteers fan for many years, rarely missing a chance to cheer on his teams.

Above all else, Nick’s greatest legacy is the love he gave so freely. His kindness, resilience, and unwavering heart left a mark that will never fade. Though he is no longer here in body, his spirit lives on in the lives he touched, the family he loved, and the memories that will be cherished forever.

He will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and never forgotten.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
