Nancy L. (McCandliss) Potter

Nancy L. Potter, age 91, formerly of Troy; more recently of Miamisburg passed away on September 8, 2026. She was born on June 19, 1935 in Dayton to the late Robert and Grace McCandliss. She was married to Ray Potter and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2017.

She is survived by her son: Kirk (Claudine) Waymire; six grandchildren: Jamie (Brittney) Waymire, Sara (Charlie) Hacker, Regina (Ben) Whitenack, Emily Harmon, Aaron Hart and Logan Hart and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Beth Hart, grandson: Graham Hacker, brother: Robert McCandliss and sister: Judy Argabright.

She was a 1952 graduate of Tipp City High School. She was a tool and die maker with AO Smith for 30 years and formerly employed with Elder Beerman in Piqua.

She was a member of the Troy Red Hats. She enjoyed crocheting and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Riverside Cemetery in Troy.
