Mark Ian Goodall, age 68, of Troy, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at his residence. He was born on August 6, 1957, in Aberdeen, Scotland, to the late William Hayman and Helenor (Walker) Goodall.
Mark is survived by his wife: Melissa (Markley) Goodall; son and daughter in Scotland; Two stepsons: Gregory Hill III and Terry Seifman; one sister in Scotland; and three step-grandchildren.
Mark was a Rabid Football member and a Harley Davidson biker. He was a Computer Engineer by trade. Mark was a strong-willed, ornery and sometimes dirty-old man, but to those who knew him well, a generous spirit full of stories, laughs and a love for life. Mark knew 5 languages, including French, Gaelic, Latin and Doric, and, when younger, frequently traveled the world. He studied everything about history and was a great thinker. Mark would say, “I was born with a weak body, so thinking was what I learned to do and I learned it well”.
Due to his Scottish beliefs, services will be private to his family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Aberdeen Football Club in Scotland at www.afc.co.uk.
