Lois J. Thompson

Lois J. Thompson, age 83, of Troy, Ohio passed away June 3, 2026 at Piqua Care Center. She was born on September 7, 1942 in Quincy, Ohio to the late Jacob Rodney and Zelma Elizabeth (Neer) Melhorn.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years: James Estel Thompson; sons: Rod (Stacy) Thompson of Fletcher, Dale (Lisa) Thompson of Troy and Bob Thompson of Troy; brother: Don (Anita) Melhorn of Englewood, FL; eleven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Fairlawn High School. She was a cashier at Troy Walmart for 27 years.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow in Casstown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
