Kenneth D. Denlinger

Kenneth D. Denlinger, age 88, of Troy, OH went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 2, 2026. He was born June 9, 1938, in Dayton, OH to Bruno and Mabel (Hicks) Denlinger.

He was preceded in death by his first and loving wife Janet Jo (Lauber) Denlinger of 56 wonderful years, his father and mother Bruno and Mabel Denlinger; and one grandson Nicholas Taynor.

Ken is survived by his second wife, Constance (Bretland) Denlinger, son, Erik and daughter-in-law, Karen Denlinger; daughter, Kymberly Denlinger (Michael Holfinger) and daughter, Nikki and son-in-law, Darrell Taynor; six grandchildren, Melanie Thomas, Taylor Thomas, Shelby Tucker III, Dalton (Angel) Taynor, Dillon Taynor and Chelsie Roemisch (Travis); great grandchildren, Abel, Greyson and Daxton; brother, Willard (Joan) Denlinger and sisters, Lora (Larry) Huff and Betty (John) Watren.

He graduated from Troy High School in 1956 and Sinclair College in 1958 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Retired from Copeland Corporation as Wholesaler Sales and Marketing Manager after 37 years full time service and then part time for another 7 years helping with marketing projects.

Ken gave his heart to our Lord Jesus Christ and has been a member of First Baptist Church in Troy since 1966.

He had a love for his family and get-togethers, especially at a summer place on Lake Jimmerson, IN. He also enjoyed a long time hobby of golf and annual fishing trips, especially to Canada.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with burial to follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in Troy, or the charity of your choice in memory of Ken.
