Joan L. (Walker) Alspaugh

Joan L. (Walker) Alspaugh, age 95, of Troy, passed away on April 7, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. She was born on March 20, 1931, in Troy, to the late George S. and Ethel Marie (Marshall) Walker.

Joan is survived by three daughters: Deborah (Robert) Ratcliff, Georgia Marie (Art) Hoft and Tina Lynn McKee, all of Troy; two step-children: Gary (Mary) Alspaugh of Troy, and Scott (Cheryl) Alspaugh of Miamisburg; brother: George Walker, Jr. of Victorville, CA; grandchildren: Courtney Ratcliff, Rob Ratcliff, Taneisha Hanselman, Wayne Alspaugh, Greg Alspaugh and Alex Hawkins; and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Marvin E. Alspaugh; brother: Donald B. Walker; sister: Patricia Switzer; grandson: Shawn McKee; and step-daughter: Patricia Hawkins.

Joan enjoyed camping, NASCAR, crossword puzzles and Elvis Presley. Joan was formerly employed by Kimberly Clark in Troy as a paper sorter.

Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington. Family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home.
