Jeffrey Richard Vogelmeier

Jeffrey Richard Vogelmeier, age 72, of Troy, OH passed away on February 21, 2026 at Hospice of Miami County. He was born on May 23, 1953 in Newark, OH to the late Arthur and Anita (Frush) Vogelmeier.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 46 years: Susan Vogelmeier; children: Matthew R. (Alisha) Vogelmeier and Abigail Vogelmeier, both of Troy; grandchildren: Blaine Fortner, Althea Vogelmeier, and Bronson Vogelmeier; and siblings: Dan Vogelmeier, Marilyn Kister, and Mary Elam. In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his siblings: Tom Vogelmeier, Mickey Frazier, Diane Elwell, and Pat Farley.

Jeff was a graduate of Newark Catholic High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University. He retired as a Subway franchisee, a career he loved, after 30+ years. Jeff was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He loved traveling, reading, watching sports, and spending time with his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Baird Funeral Home.
