Jacob "Jake" Morris

Jacob “Jake” Morris, age 45, of Christiansburg, OH passed away on May 22, 2026, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. He was born on May 15, 1981, in Sidney, OH to Nathan L. and Linda (Cardel) Morris.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings: Joshua, Nathan J., Aaron and Naomi Morris.

He was a longtime member of Troy Baptist Church. He worked various jobs throughout the years. His most recent job was with Papa John’s where he worked for over nine years. He grew up loving sports and excelled in soccer and basketball during his high school years. His favorite teams were the New York Yankees and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved his well-trained therapy dog, named Shkias, who never left his side for over nine years.

While attending Shenandoah Baptist Academy in Tennessee, at the age of seventeen, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour on June 3, 1998. The following year on February 22, 1999, he surrendered his life to become a missionary to the foreign fields. After graduation, he attended Northland Baptist Bible College in Wisconsin, as well as Ambassador Baptist Bible College in North Carolina, with a desire to serve Christ.

Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Troy Baptist Church, 691 East Staunton Road, Troy, OH with Pastor David Thomasson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the church.
