Ian was a 2011 graduate of Troy High School, a member of the UC Drumline, and a graduate of Fire Academy of Sinclair College. Ian was a firefighter and paramedic with Butler Township and Tipp City Fire Departments. Ian saved hundreds of lives during his 11 years as a firefighter/paramedic. He was proud of his job and rightfully so. He received the Star of Life award in Columbus on 05/23/2019 for actions on a semi accident that occurred on 09/01/2018. He received the award due to his life saving actions including assisting in the in-field amputation to remove the driver from the vehicle. Ian received the Butler Township paramedic of the year award in May of 2021. Ian was life of the party who shared his sense of humor by teasing people. He found joy in golfing, working on and restoring cars, going to the gun range with friends, and listening to music.
