Gehrie Taylor (Sept 4, 1954-March 8, 2026)

Gehrie passed away on Sunday, March 8 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Gehrie was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and camping with his family. Even after Parkinson’s took away his ability to fish and hunt he loved to reminisce and tell stories of his biggest fish and best hunts. His stories, smile and love will be missed by all that were close to him.

Gehrie is survived by the mother of his children, Ann, his three daughters, Denise (Amy), Brittani (Nathan), and Katie (Hung). Five Grandchildren Alexander, Liam, Lilyanna, Daniel and Aurora. Lastly, his brothers Larry (Hong) Terry (Diane), Denis (Donna) and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Gehrie was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Mildred Taylor.

Gehrie was a resident of Sidney and a lifetime member of Shelby County Hunting Club. He was a longtime Supervisor at Stolle Corporation in Sidney.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor from 2:00-4:00 PM on May 30, 2026, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research at give.michaeljfox.org.
