Florence June Smith

Florence “June” Smith, age 83, of New Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at New Lebanon Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. She was born on April 6, 1943, in Richmond, Indiana to the late Floyd and Viola (Gossett) Hyatt.

June is survived by two children: Regina Smith and Eric Smith, both of Dayton; and three grandchildren: Cooper, Nick and Tyler Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: Robert Hyatt.

June opened Flashback Restaurant in Troy before going to work for Headstart for 17 years. She also opened H.W. Allen Villa Bed and Breakfast, which she ran for 20 years. June was a great cook.
