Evelyn Marie Harrod

Evelyn Marie Harrod, age 79, of Troy, OH passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026 at her residence. She was born on August 7, 1946, in Troy to the late Albert and Maude (Rohr) Ganger.

She is survived by her daughters: Tina (William) Ison of Troy and Becky (Timmy Archie) Robbins of Troy; son: Steve (Jenn) Harrod of Catawba; grandchildren: Sylvia Rayburn, Billy Rayburn, Haley (Joey) Chapin, Bridgett Robbins, Nicholas Harrod, Nathan Harrod, Victoria Baldwin, Paige Locard, Dalton Propst, Dre’Quan Taylor, and three great grandchildren: Emma McDowell, Jaxson Baldwin and Kanon Burgert; and siblings: Freda Osborne, Jane Leugers, Mary Thobe and David Ganger; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Herbert L. “Tiny” Harrod; great grandson: Landon Orahood; and siblings: Art, Ray, Forrest and Alice Ganger.

Marie graduated from Troy High School. She was a member of the Christiansburg Church of Christ in Christian Union. Marie was a long-time member of the Troy Moose Lodge. She formerly worked for Stagers and K’s restaurants and Piqua Tech before retirement. Marie enjoyed puzzle books, word searches, playing card games, watching westerns and spending time with her grandchildren.

Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Baird Funeral Home with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Family invites friends to wear the color purple if they are able.
