Dennis Edward "Ed" Garrett, Sr.

Dennis Edward “Ed” Garrett, Sr., age 81, of Troy, OH passed away on May 11, 2026 at the Troy Rehabilitation Center. He was born on September 27, 1944 in Springfield, OH to the late William D. and Wilma Jean (Mowery) Garrett.

He is survived by his two sons: Ed (Kristin) Garrett and Noah (Rhonda) Garrett; grandchildren: Rebecca Ann Garrett, Zach (Rebecka) Garrett and Nick Garrett; siblings: Robin Garrett and Christopher Garrett and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Kathleen M. (Morgan) Garrett and his daughter: Sarah Jean.

He was a 1962 graduate of Miami East High School. He served his country in the US Air Force in Vietnam.

Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Casstown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
