David Christopher Jackson, age 78, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on February 19, 1947, in Punxsutawney, PA, to the late Christopher and Bernell (McQuown) Jackson.

David is survived by his wife of 53 years: Magdaline (Guarnero) Jackson; two children: Kim (Mike) Kazmaier of Casstown and Kaitlynn (Rusty) Tyree of Troy; and seven grandchildren: Ian, Dio, Cameron, David, Oraura, Lyric and Aiden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter: Claire Jackson; and sister: Patricia DeHaven.

David proudly served his country as a member of the US Army for 9 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran. David enjoyed crossword puzzles, conversation and coffee. In 2007, he retired from Yamada North America and Hobart after 27 years.

Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with full military honors. Family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
