Darla L. Brading

Darla L. Brading, age 75, of Troy, OH passed away on June 16, 2026 at Hospice of Miami County. She was born on December 1, 1950 in Salt Lake City, UT to Sayah LaRee (Couchman) Taylor of Nampa, ID and the late Lynn W. Taylor.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 48 years of marriage: Wilmer M. Brading; daughter: Melissa (Zachary) Simmons of Troy; two granddaughters: Francesca Simmons and Madeline Simmons; brother: Darrell (Bonnie) Taylor of Fairfield, MT and sister: Stacia (Todd) Christiansen of Nampa, ID. She is preceded in death by her father and her sister: Pamela Schoppe.

She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University and teaching certificate from the University of Redlands, CA. She served as a first grade teacher for seventeen years at Highland Pacific in San Bernadino, CA.

She was a member of the Stillwater Seventh Day Adventist in Vandalia, OH. She was also a member of D.A.R., Piqua-Lewis Boyer. She loved sewing, spending time with her family and grandkids and vacation adventures.

Memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice of Miami County or American Cancer Society.
