Daniel Jerome Sitler

Daniel Jerome Sitler, age 74, of Covington, OH passed away on March 29, 2026 at Hospice of Miami County. He was born on November 8, 1951 in Ithaca, NY to the late Henry Oliver Sitler and Mary Mildred (Sutherlin) Sitler.

He is survived by his spouse: F. Jane (Lawson) Sitler; siblings: Alice Cleveland of New Palestine, IN, Christopher Sitler (Penny) of Knightstown, IN, David Sitler (Lorraine) of Midlothian, VA, Robert Sitler (Donna) of Venice, FL and Joseph Sitler (Amanda) of New Palestine, IN and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Elizabeth Sitler and niece: Joy Sitler.

Daniel graduated from Culver Military Academy. He then earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Indiana University. He was employed as an IT professional for many years and volunteered with various animal fostering groups. Daniel had many pets over the years, especially his favorite dog, Abraham. He also loved medieval history and had a love for music.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Wednesday.
