Daniel Lee Sayre

Daniel Lee Sayre, age 85, of Sidney, OH passed away very peacefully on March 2, 2026 at Vancrest of Upper Valley. He was born on June 21, 1940 in Sidney to the late Albert Melvin and Verna Mae (Eleyet) Sayre.

He is survived by his wife: Tonya (Piper) Sayre; daughters: Tracey (Bill) Smith of Troy, Pamela Sayre of Huron and Margaret (Keith) Lee of Anna; sister: Janet (Dave) Allen of Landenberg, PA and grandchildren: Alex (Kyle) Casdorph, Josey Liesner and Erik (Nicole) Vondenhuevel and his children: Guinevere and The’oden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Albert’s second wife: Margaret “Peg” (McClaughtery) Sayre and infant sister: Frances Marion Sayre.

Dan served his country in the US Army Spec 5 AIS. He was a longtime member of 4-H and raised Berkshire pigs. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Pemberton Methodist Church, the Republican party and a lifetime member of the NRA. He retired as an engineer with Inland Division of General Motors.

A Private Memory Service will be held at a later date.
