Chris E. Smoke

Chris E. Smoke, age 69, of Troy, OH passed away on October 29, 2026 at his residence. He was born on December 9, 1956 in Newark, OH to the late Floyd E. and Virginia (Gantt) Smoke.

Chris is survived by his wife: Victoria (Bowman) Smoke of Troy; and cousins: Ed (Neville) Butcher of Tipp City, and Marcia Butcher Jones of Delaware, OH. In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his brother: Bruce A. Smoke.

Chris was a graduate of Newark High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of South Florida. Chris was a PMI Certified Program Manager. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy, where he served as a eucharistic minister. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, often managing the golf tournament and other social events at his council in Florida. Chris was a graduate of the Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute, specializing in adult education ministry. In his free time, Chris loved to travel, especially to historical sites. He proudly served in the US Navy.

Mass of Christian Burial is pending at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Private interment will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newark, OH.
