Barbara Laverne Seitz

Barbara Laverne Seitz, age 91, of Troy and formerly of Fairborn, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on June 30, 1935 in Brown County, IN to the late Paul E. and Violet M. (Woods) Lucas.

Barbara is survived by her two sons: Gary (Kim) Seitz of Troy, OH and Dennis Seitz of Loveland, CO. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: George M. Seitz; brother: Leroy Lucas and a sister: Sharon Thompson.

Barbara worked at Medway Cleaners for over 20 years and enjoyed baking.

Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Baird Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Labs officiating. Burial will follow at Medway Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
