Barbara Ann Comer

Barbara Ann (Liesenhoff) Comer, age 90, of Troy, OH, passed away on May 26, 2026 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. She was born on January 30, 1936 in Dayton, OH to the late Edward Hershel and Margaret Catherine (Schommer) Liesenhoff.

Barbara is survived by her children: Stacie (Paul) Brown and Shane (Heather) Comer; grandson: Cameron (Cassidy Stout) Brown; and brother: Edward Hershel Liesenhoff. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband: Billy DeWayne Comer.

Barbara was a 1954 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Dayton. She volunteered for many years at Schuster Performing Arts Center and Victoria Theatre in Dayton. Barbara was a member of Salem Church of the Brethren, Phillipsburg.

Barbara was known for her love of children, always giving a hug and never parting without an “I love you”. Barbara cared for many children over the years. She always had crafts lined up to make. Most of these crafts included glitter. The glitter left behind, and yes it’s everywhere, is Mom’s way of keeping her memory alive. We call it her “Pixie Dust”. Barbara enjoyed writing poetry and also loved to draw.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
