Alice Marie Gurklies

Alice Marie Gurklies, age 58, of Troy, OH passed away on February 24, 2026. She was born on July 10, 1967 in Troy, OH to the late Robert F. Gurklies and Nancy L. (Shanck) Bream Gurklies.

She is survived by her siblings: Tim and Brenda Gurklies of West Alexandria, Rebecca Sellman of Troy, Keith Bream of Carlisle, PA, and sister-in-law: Sandy Gurklies of Troy, and cousin: Elizabeth Gurklies of Overland, KS. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Dan and Kerry Gurklies.

Alice was a 1985 graduate from Troy High School. She then graduated from Lima Technical College in 1987.

In her younger years, she participated in 4-H and entered many food projects in the county fair. She was retired from Edison State Community College in Piqua where she enjoyed her 32 years of service. She loved cats, collecting all types of treasures, decorating and helping people.

Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Wayne Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Private interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
