Marilyn Kay (Smith) Ceyler-Boyer, passed peacefully at home on February 7, 2018. She worked for Bob Schul Sporting Goods for many years prior to retiring. She was a 1953 graduate and valedictorian of Covington High School. She attended Edison State Community College. Marilyn attended the Christian Life Center. She was an avid pianist and vocalist throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Gladys Marie Kelsey and Stanley G. Smith; sisters: Evelyn Annette Reedy and June L. Brumbaugh; brother: Rev. Richard S. Smith; and former husband: C. Russell Ceyler.
She is survived by her 3 daughters and sons-in-law: Merilee (Ceyler) and Wesley B. Corbett, of Nashville, TN, Barbara (Ceyler) and Craig J. Buchanan, of Unicoi, TN, and Jennifer (Ceyler) and Roger Lykes of Troy, OH; husband: Nelson Boyer Sr.; eight grandchildren: Spencer Corbett, Ashlee Lawrence, Brittany Steele, Alyssa (Brandon) Bruce, Craig J. Buchanan II, Brianna Corbett, Duncan Buchanan, and Alec Feltner; and four great grandchildren: Raelann, Jaxson, and Kooper Daniels and Colton Bruce.

Services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Baird Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Miami Memorial Park in Covington. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Friday, February 9th at the funeral home.
