Anna M. (Weingart) Shoup

Anna M. Shoup, age 88, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 11:10 PM on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Koester Pavilion, Troy.  She was born on January 23, 1930 in Piqua, Ohio, to the late Frank and Rose Weingart.  In 1948, she married the late Irwin E. Shoup.

Survivors include her children and their spouses: Michael Shoup, Vickie and Jerry Wilson of Troy, Rev. Steven L. Shoup of Ft. Loramie, Ohio, Bruce and Debbie Shoup of Piqua, Ohio, and Connie Hartley of Troy; sister: Nancy and John Schneider of Roswell, Georgia; sister-in-law: Odelle Goodin of Troy; seven grandchildren: the late Eric Reed, Christopher and Amanda Shoup, Joshua Reed, Angie and Dustin Copas, Moni and Derrick Skinner, Cody Wilson and Paige Hartley; four great grandchildren: Jemisan, Jeylan, Dalten and Brensen; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and grandson, Mrs. Shoup was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law: Rosemary and Richard Shoup and Martha and James Moore, Marvin Goodin; and two nieces: Wendy Shoup and Susan Hastings.

Anna was a graduate of Piqua City Schools.  She was a full-time homemaker.  Anna was a member of St. Patrick Church in Troy.  She enjoyed collecting things, especially vintage clothes hangers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Michael Church, 33 Elm Street, Ft. Loramie, Ohio on Monday, July 16, 2018 with Rev. Steven Shoup officiating.  Interment will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio, after a luncheon that will be served at the parish hall.  Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
