I am sorry to hear about your mothers passing. I have so many memories from my childhood of the Schlemmer's, Duncan's and my mom & dad....playing cards, decorating the church and just getting together. There was always a room of laughter, fun and love. Velma was such a sweet lady...always loved her. Hold tight to the many memories you have...and hold fast to the God of comfort and peace. Love & sympathy to all your family.

So very sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I was one of her students and her newspaper boy. I am grateful for the privilege of having known her.

Mrs. Schemer was a brilliant and caring teacher who taught me all I ever knew about written grammar, dangling participles and all. It was only later when I became a teacher, that I knew just how good she was. She left the world a better place. Thank you. Peace to her family especially now.

I had Mrs Schlemmer as a teacher in 10th grade English class. She was not only a great teacher but a wonderful friend and shared her talents with whoever crossed her path. I often saw her at church and she was very friendly to one and all. My condolences to her family.

Mrs. Schlemmer was my teacher. While I can still also remember others, her's is always the first name to come to mind. Her hugs were always free always plenty, and always without asking. My heart goes out to you in your loss.

I loooved Mrs. Schlemmer's English class! She is one reason I almost became an English teacher instead of going into art ed. She took no guff and stood up to anyone who challenged her as a teacher. Yet she was soft spoken and kind at the same time. May God fill you all with His loving kindness as you move through the days ahead.

Bob and Family,

I am so saddened to hear of your Mother's passing. I remember when I was in Junior High and was having a very difficult day. She looked at me and said I looked like I could use a hug. She reached over and put her arms around me and I could feel her kindness go through me. It was a moment that remained precious to me. She lifted me up. It may have only been a hug but was priceless to me. I felt she understood. I saw her one day after I was an adult and married. I reminded her of that heartwarming moment. She said to me....bless your heart honey. What a beautiful, kind, and loving lady. I pray all of her kindness and memories warm your heart always. May God bless you and give you strength.
