Aside from my dear parents, Pastor Workman had the greatest influence on my life. He was an incredible youth pastor, quiz master for Bible quiz team, and such a wonderful caring and godly example. He was always available and had thoughtful answers to the questions that inevitably come up as young people face the challenges of transitioning from childhood to adulthood. His love of the Lord and love for everyone he came in contact with are some of my best memories. He sang "Here's My Life" at our youth group reunion in Rochester Michigan--a perfect testimony for a man who gave so much of his life to caring for others.

Frank Workman was a true and loyal friend from our days as college roommates. We shared many great times together during those days and off and on since that time as we served alongside each other in weeks of evangelistic meetings in various churches where he served. I am blessed for having known him. What a great example of faithfulness to his Lord and to those men under whom he served. I have often used him as an example of an outstanding pastor's assistant. Though he will be greatly missed, I can only rejoice that he is healthy and strong and rejoicing in the presence of his Saviour.

Doug, Beth, Brock and family - Cindy and I want to express our deepest love, sympathy and thoughts in this trying time for you all - We cannot tell you what this great man means to us - I would not be the man I am today without the decision of your mom and dad to come to minister to us in Michigan - His love for our Savior, dedication to serving others, and faithfulness to our Lord were all the trademarks that made him stand out from others and displayed the standard for me to live up to in my own life - I loved them both, but I adored your dad - I have so many memories of my time with him - The one I want to share was from one of our winter retreats - He was sitting at the table behind me - I went up to the serving tables to get a piece of pie - While I was walking back to my chair, the thought came to me - "This magnificent piece of pie would look great in Mr. Workman's face" - As I got closer to him, I pretended to trip and that fantastic piece of creamed pie went into his face! - I loved it! - To my surprise and shock, so did he - He sat there, smiled and didn't move - All he said to me, "Kevin, pay back will be sweet" - He paid me back three times over - He taught me to love Jesus - Serve others - Honor family and country - He was my role model and mentor - I thanked the Lord over and over again for sending your family to us - God's best as you all go forward from his home going - May our Lord's grace and comfort meet your every need

It was a pleasure working with Pastor Workman back in the late 1990s as we combined church choirs for a wonderful Christmas cantata event. At the time, I was working as an assistant pastor at Grace Baptist Church of Kettering, OH. Frank and I just seemed to "click." I have fond memories of our ministry together and always enjoyed his sensible and jovial spirit. Praise the Lord for a race well run. I am happy to know that we will meet again and I envy him his current position. God does all things well. My condolences to the family. May God's peace rest with you.

How can words even begin to describe nearly 30 years of love, ministry, and friendship? Beth, Doug and Diana, and Brock, our hearts are breaking for you. There are so many prayers being offered up for you and your family by many people around the world. I am so thankful that God brought your dad to Ohio. Not only did it impact me spiritually but it also gave me a lifetime of family-style friendship with all of you. And then to have the joy of Laura, Drew, and Paige experiencing the love of your mom and dad and all off you was more than could be imagined by a teenager who no doubt contributed to a few less hairs and adding to the grey. We have had so much fun over the years (sometime too much fun!) whether times were easy or tough. Late nights, Boulderdash definitions that were completly outrageous, Christmas, Thanksgiving, staff suppers, singspirations, quiet conversations, seeing my children (and many, many others) giving him hugs and sitting on his knee, leader retreats, spontaneous singing in beautiful harmony all will never be the same until we are all back together again in Heaven.
Pastor Workman was a faithful man. He was a faithful minister. He was a faithful mentor. And he was a faithful Proverbs 27 friend. He delivered faithful wounds, he rejoiced the heart with hearty counsel, he was an unforsaking friend, and he sharpened my countenance from my teenage years through the years that we served together on staff. It was an honor and privilege to serve along side of him for 13 years.
Now we have one more precious reason to look forward to Heaven! I can only imagine the sound of the duet he and Laura are singing right now!

Dear Doug, Diana, Beth, and family,
I cannot imagine the depth of grief you feel at your dad's passing. You are such a caring family with a gracious spirit, and I was so blessed that God shared you with us in Minnesota. Your dad was an awesome example to me of working hard, doing your best, and being genuinely enthusiastic about serving God. God used him to make my faith strong. His abhorrence of sin when my world crumbled was such a positive reinforcement which helped me take steps in a constructive direction. I'm praying God will comfort your hearts in many ways and make this journey of grief as smooth as possible. I love you!

Pastor Frank was the first one to visit when I visited TBT. He loved the Lord and served him with a willing spirit. He was a great witness for our Lord and Savior. He will be missed and remember always as a gentle spirit.

How much we all love him. I have years and years of so many wonderful memories with him. I tried to think of my favorite and it is just impossible. So many of us shared choir practices, teen nights, bill rice ranch, prayers, funny stories, our struggles and our victories, and even just a nice dinner at the table together. But if I had to pick at least ONE of my favorite things about him, I loved how he always took time out of his day to make my Grandpa a pot of beans and head on over to Grandma and Grandpa's house and eat and talk with him. My Grandpa loved his company so much, and that pot of beans! How grateful I am that he chose to share his life with all of us. Our lives would never have been the same without this sweet sweet soul. Sending so much love, and many prayers to the Workman family <3

Over the last two days so many memories have flooded over me...Friday nights at the Springdale Music Palace, trips to Mexico, singspirations, Christmas dinners, Perkins after Sunday evening services, game nights, and so much more. Although Pastor Frank will be sorely missed, I know that he is enjoying walking hand-in-hand with his sweet bride as she shows him the sights of Heaven. I'm sure they are singing together as they stroll along. My love and prayers to you, Beth, Doug, Diana and Brock. May the God of all comfort hold your hearts in His hands of grace in these coming days. My love and prayers for you all.
