I just found out about Mrs. Donaldson's passing. She was my kindergarten teacher in 1980 @ Concord and I will forever have great memories of her class. She made entry into my school years fun and exciting. Blessings to her family and all who mourn her passing. She touched many many lives.

I was so very sorry to hear of Opal's passing. We taught kindergarten together for many years and she was a great partner and a loyal friend. I have so many good memories and funny stories that I still share with people! We exchanged Christmas cards every year and kept up with each other but I always missed standing on the playground with her after she retired. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Susan Haas

Dear Creech Family, I recently read about the loss of your dear loved one. Although we are not friends acquainted personally, please accept my condolences. I am very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we can experience. May you find comfort in the memories you shared together and the Bible's promise that soon " death will be no more" ( Revelation 21 : 3 & 4 ). XOur loving God Jehovah has given us this encouraging promise for the future.

We extend our sympathy to you, Gary, Scott, Craig, your families, and Richard & your family. We just learned of Opal's passing a couple of days ago. So many memories have come to mind from teaching at Concord, to camping (especially our western trip in 1980), to getting our Masters together in 1982 from the University of Dayton (Opal told me that we needed to do this when UD offered the program!)......so many good times. As we all retired and went our separate ways, we lost touch till attending the Covington gathering in Sebring a couple of years ago. We met you, Richard. We had thought we'd get together. It didn't happen, for which we are so sorry. But, we know we'll meet again when our journey is completed and can share so many memories and stories. We know you have been remembering and sharing and will continue to do. God bless you and give you comfort.

Gary, Scott, Craig and families, I'm terribly sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. She was always a classy lady, supporting you boys in all your activities and loving you as strongly as a mom of boys has to. Be blessed with many fond, fun memories.

Gary, Scott, Craig and families, I can't find words to tell you how sorry I am to learn of Opals' passing. You all know what a special lady she was and what she meant to me. She taught me so much about life and children and teaching. We had rather lost touch in the past few years but that didn't change how much I love her or what she means to me. She was Aunt Opal to my children and was most definitely my sister. She will be so terribly missed.

My memories of Opal are the years we were Kindergarten teachers in Troy City Schools together we taught with the love and patience needed to go on to the next group each year. We retired about the same time. Nancy Grana-Carson

Our thoughts and prayers are with Opal's family. We were touched in many ways by her through the years. She was our son, J.J.'s Kindergarten teacher at Concord Elementary School many years ago. Many years later she and Richard came to Sebring every February to share in The Covington Area Gathering. She was always so happy and so pleased to see old friends and make new ones. In deepest sympathy, Jim and Pat Ladd.2

Opal was my kindergarten teacher, as well as my four siblings'. I have very vivid memories of my time with her, from her comforting me when I was afraid, to the letter people, and her birthday box. She was so patient and loving. My mom and Opal would talk forever anytime they had the chance. Being a teacher myself, I now understand the parent-teacher relationships that develop with families. Some are very special and ours with Mrs. Donaldson certainly was! She was one of the greatest and most loving teachers ever! I will never forget her. Rest in peace, Opal and love to her husband, sons, and the rest of her family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel.

I am so sorry to hear of Opal's passing. She was three of my five children's kindergarten teacher at Concord School. There are not enough words to express how kind, patient, loving, and friendly she was. We had many long talks and became friends. I loved how she expressed how material things were not what was important. She told me when she met Richard, he treated her like a queen and was so happy. I told her no one deserved it more. Opal was a special lady with a huge heart. I hope all of her memories fill your hearts with peace and love. It was so nice to see her at Fonda.s last year. She was always sweet Opal. May God bless you all.

Mrs. Donaldson was my kindergarten teacher during the 1982/83 school year at Concord Elementary, Troy, OH. I, now as a 40 year old, remember this woman and her passion for teaching. I have great memories of letter people, coloring, messes that she never got mad at... so many great friends that she made sure we kept... she was an incredible educator! Sad at her passing - thankful for her faith in her Savior - that tells me I will see her again in paradise. Much love to all of her family. Please know that she has touched so many in this world with her gifts and talents!
