Thank you all the kind postings they brought us great comfort. Baird funeral home was so very wonderful in their assistance. It was a wonderful service and exactly what Mikey would have wanted. Prayers to all of you too as you too have lost a great person in your life.

One of my favorite memories of Michael when he was about 18 moths old, Adam, Jay, Mary and I were playing cards and he was playing in the kitchen with all my canned goods. When I looked to see what he was doing he had rearranged all the corn, green beans, peas, and soup all in there own places. I knew then how quick witted he was. We will miss you Michael. Love Val, Bob, Andy and Garrett.

Mikey,

We all lost one of our oldest and dearest friends. We were teammates, roommates, and even coworkers at one point but more than anything you were one of my best and most loyal friends. So many fun times together and so many memories have you in them. I'm at a loss and very saddened that you are gone, but I am happy for all the good times we spent together and you will always be in all of our memories.

Everyday in elementary and jr high, we sat in the same seat and listened to Limp Bizkit. We hung out all the time and were good friends. As life goes on we drifted apart in high school and didn't really speak anymore but I still think about the fun times when we didn't have a care in the world. I'm sorry for your loss. He is missed.

To the Vernau Family, I am a classmate of Grandmother Cathy from St.E's. My heart goes out to all for this terrible loss of a son, grandson, brother, and uncle. You have my deepest symphony. May his soul rest in peace as his life has not ended, just changed. Those who live in the Lord never see each other for the last time.
Sincerely, Jeanette Belvo

Many great memories of Mikey in the dugout. He was the best catcher I had coached, by sure the biggest heart for the game and his teammates. I remember draft day and landed him on the team and told my son Nathan now we got a good team. Mikey, thanks for all those wins they really wouldn't have happened without you behind the plate. Thanks for being in my life.
