Douglas Lee Stager, age 80, of Troy, OH passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at his residence.  Doug was born on July 17, 1937 in Troy, OH to the late Robert M. and Margaret “Babe” (Collins) Stager.

Doug is survived by his wife of 60 years of marriage: Charlotte G. (Wears) Stager; his children: Randy L. Stager of Troy; Scott D. (Beth) Stager of Ft. Loramie; Barbara (Barry) Coomes of Troy and Kirk Stager of Vandalia; brother: Dale (Nancy) Stager of Troy; sister-in-law: Patty Stager of Greenville; nine grandchildren: Christopher Stager, Matthew (Breanne) Stager; Shane Stager; Kyle Stager; Trevor (Katelyn) Coomes; Bradley Coomes; Rachel Stager; Luke Stager and Cameron Coomes and one great granddaughter:  Bailey Stager.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Danny Stager.

Doug attended Troy Schools.  He was a member of the Troy Fish and Game.  He worked for the Troy Power Plant and eventually the Dayton Power and Light Company, retiring after 36 years of service.

Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with the Pastor Dale Adkins officiating.  Interment will follow in the Casstown Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:30 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
