William L. Baker

WILLIAM L. BAKER, age 81, of Troy, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit, Troy.  He was born in Troy, OH on December 25, 1939 to the late Guy and Dorothy June (Pike) Baker.  He was married to his wife of 48 years:  Betty L. Brown Baker and she preceded him in death on November 21, 2016.

Bill is survived by one son: William A. (Julie) Baker of Sidney; two grandchildren: Shelby and Lauren Baker; brother: Richard E. Baker of Covington; sister: Karen Hawkins of Sidney and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents and his wife, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers: Earl Baker and Robert Baker and sisters: Linda Gephart and Janet Cox.

Bill was a graduate of Troy High School.  He served his country in the US Army.  He was a longtime employee of Dinner Bell Foods in Troy.  He later worked at Leland Electro Systems in Vandalia and KTH in St. Paris where he retired from.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards with his siblings.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Rich Baker officiating.  Private interment at Riverside Cemetery in Troy.  Friends may call from 11:00AM-1:00PM  on Wednesday at the funeral home.
