Wanda J. (Kadel) Hornberger

Wanda J. (Kadel) Hornberger, age 91, of Tipp City, OH passed away on December 4, 2022 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.  She was born on May 28, 1931 in Troy, OH to the late Lester William and Delia (Widener) Kadel.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great, great-great and great- great-great nieces and nephews and stepchildren: Cathy Tison and Norvin Hornberger and her precious kitties: Gabby and Cuddles.  In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her dear husband: William; brother: Richard Kadel and sister: Ruth Bowers. 

She was a longtime member of the Nashville United Church of Christ and served as church treasurer for 25 years and a member of the MITES fellowship.  She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Harvest Chapter 564 of Dayton and was a volunteer with the soup kitchen.

She was a graduate of St. Elizabeth’s Nursing School and served as a Registered Nurse for 40 years in various facilities.  Personally, she loved her flowers and gardening.

Services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Nashville United Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00AM-1:00PM on Monday at the church.
