Vikki M. Brandenburg

Vikki M. Brandenburg, age 74, of Troy, OH passed away on June 1, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami Co. Inpatient Unit. She was born on October 9, 1948 in Troy, OH, to the late Robert and Marie (Messer) Thaxton.

Vikki is survived by her husband, Thomas A. Brandenburg of 54 years; son: Scott Brandenburg of Troy; daughter and son-in-law: Lori (Troy) Altman of Troy; grandchildren: Tyler and Tanner Brandenburg and Sterling Altman; brother: Robert M. Thaxton of Virginia Beach, VA; sister: Jacqueline Fessler of Columbus, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Patsy Kerber.

Vikki was a 1967 graduate of Troy High School and a member of ‘67 Quilters. She was a preschool teacher at Mid County Church of Christ for several years and a longtime child care provider for over 30 years. Vikki enjoyed traveling, thrift shopping, snooty fox and La Comedia dinner theatre with her friends. She loved boating, the outdoors and attending grandsons baseball games.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00PM on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Baird Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County or the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center.
