Thomas L. “Tom” Pepiot, age 81, of Troy, OH passed away suddenly on September 12, 2022 at the Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born on October 29, 1940 in Versailles, OH to the late Clarence and Mildred (Monnin) Pepiot.
Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years: Linda (Holliday) Pepiot; children: Michael (Christine) Pepiot of Westfield, IN and Melissa (Edward “Ted”) Mansell of Westerville, OH; three grandchildren: Ryan (Lilia) Pepiot, Kyle Pepiot and Colin Mansell; sister: Norma (Lester) Monnin of Versailles, OH; and sister-in-law: Mary Pepiot. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: William “Bill” Pepiot and sister: Patricia Heitkamp.
Tom graduated from Versailles High School, Class of 1958. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1958-1961 and was a member of the Russia Catholic War Veterans in Russia, OH. He also was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #43, Troy Fish and Game and an avid sports fan including the Cincinnati Reds and L.A. Dodgers. He loved the outdoors and his grandsons. He worked at Huffaker Plumbing and Heating of Troy and retired from Rieck Services of Dayton and was a member of the UA Local 162 Plumbers and Pipefitters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 16, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Troy. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
