Ralph Drake

Ralph Drake, 84, of Troy passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at home.  He was born on November 18, 1938 in Midland, PA to the late Sherman and Leora Drake.

Ralph graduated from Somerset High School. He served in the US Navy from 1957-1967.  He retired from BF Goodrich after 33 years of service.  He was a 50 year member of the Franklin Lodge #14 F&AM.

Ralph will be remembered as a caring, hardworking man who could fix just about anything. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing.  He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 34 years: Jean (Anderson) Drake; son: Rod (Michelle) Drake; stepchildren: Matt (Trish) Foster and Jill (Matt) Byrd; sister: Ida Fiew; brother: Sherman Drake; half-sister: Penny Drake; half-brother: Jim Drake; step sister: Laverne Schaeffer; sister-in-law: Nancy (Jeff) Quillen; grandchildren: Kiersten, Jessica and Hunter Drake, Samuel Byrd, Trevor and Sarah Foster, Morgan (Chase) Black and Shelby (Luke) Mossbarger; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Ralph was preceded in death by his first wife: Linda (Whitehead) Drake.  He was also preceded in death by brothers: Harry, Robert, Richard and Eugene Drake and sisters: Rose Daffner, Betty Smith and Geneva Weyand; step daughter: Holly Foster and grandson: Bryan Watt.

Services will be held at 5:00PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Matt Byrd officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00PM on Thursday.
